The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 娓娓道来如涓涓细流，刚猛之中又不失温情，哇！我真的好喜欢呐！东木老爷子太有魅力了~
情节偏简单，小男主演技也青涩，老爷子精神矍铄
故事很简单，也不太吸引人，东木老爷明显老了，90岁了，太厉害了
91岁，老了，温和了（嘴炮骂人怎么更利索了呢），但却依旧拥有漂亮女人。羡慕老爷子的坦诚。
牛仔不死，只是逐渐凋零…东木再也无法像曾经那样一人一枪大杀四方了…
劇情有點平淡，也沒什麼出彩吸引人的部分，中間部分氣氛挺好，結局有點蹩腳，整體來說沒有預想中來得好。

因为是东木才能为这片子赋予更多的韵味，那些台词从这个百岁老人口中缓慢模糊的说出来的时候，有强大的治愈和力量。

这部影片无论是从剪辑还是选角都是垃圾，几乎没有看点，叙事碎片，不连贯的观感就像是片儿汤，但毕竟是东木老爷子的电影，虽然已经能看出力不从心的感觉了，不过还是有些台词值得回味。
内容被抛弃的小清新作品，清新中透露着迟暮岁月的创作解脱，希望是。
老爷子的内心很柔软，所以一切的呈现都是偏温柔的童话的美好的，视觉上倒让那只活力的公鸡抢足了戏。
电影很工整，美墨边境完全成了老爷子大片的背景板，特别是有些部分是直接能拿去当广告的程度，在这方面东木还是游刃有余，故事上就偏平淡了，每次危机来临就瞬间结束，加上年事已高，驯马镜头也用了替身，不过老爷子的状态是真的好啊！
看完最大的感触：东木老爷子得有多怀念那个逝去的时代啊。 无论拍多少其他类型的片子，总要回归到牛仔的日子里去。东木和我外公同年生人，我外公已经患阿尔兹海默症，我再也无法从他口中听更多他年轻时的故事。东木还在不倦的恋着那个时代，还硬硬地挺在那里，他一定很爱。
