The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 其实相对于彩色，还是黑白质感会好一点，剧情还是老范式，但是里面的很多街景都恍如昨日，而且那时候的谍战片虽然对日常生活触及不够，人物模板化，但具有明确的目标和自身信念的坚持，这反而是当代主旋律片所缺失的……
劣质水货的庸众剧本构架和硬装强大的怯懦表现手法
孙道临的英俊让我突然想起格里高利派克，除了有些语言听起来别扭，60多年前的看电影还真是出人意料的好看，致敬
镜头和音乐挺不错的，黑暗的哥谭、病态的蝙蝠侠，都很有特色，就是故事有点沉闷了
感觉这部挺返璞归真的，带有黑色电影风格的侦探探案是最还原漫画里的哥谭都市。好家伙！我就说为什么这部的视听和镜头语言如此独特。原来和《沙丘》的摄影指导Greig Fraser是同一个，在蝙蝠车那一段的雨夜追车爆炸片段能把观众都吃了。
原来是才两年的青涩蝙蝠侠，😯嘿。正反交锋还不是那么惊天动地。罗伯特越来越长成我喜欢的样子了。猫女在上一部神奇动物里遇害因此得以有档期参与此片（不是）

对女性的刻画或许有些扁平了，她们同样伟大，至少不应该在海报上当陪衬。
imax看的，五彩斑斓的黑和压迫的环境声，只是为了体验“电影院真好”。
2022年4月19日下载并且几次尝试观看，但是屏幕真的太黑了，真的黑到我一点都没兴趣看超过10分钟。2022年5月20日再次尝试，最终弃。
Pure cinematic movie. 华纳终于想起来了DC is detective comic, not don’t care. 马导固然是稳定发挥，但是我要为这片的配乐和剪辑鼓掌. 没有一个镜头是浪费的，有几个镜头带着明显的宗教气息.五方和Zoe 的化学反应不错.另外这片的尺度真的是无限接近R ，为了躲避尺度跨越而制作的模糊和黑幕反而增加了惊悚感，上流
其实没太大必要转彩色，黑白高清修复就挺好。
不同以往的是，这部电影想要讲的更多，情欲、亲情、博爱、阶级、公平、正义、政治......所有的这一切都被“设法”融入到了剧情里，纠结在一起最终到达高潮。
第一次在英国电影院看电影着实没经验，开始前放了半个小时广告，加上175分钟的电影，越到尾声越想快点结束赶紧回家。整个剧情节奏扁平，故事主线不复杂加上画面和背景音乐营造的压抑氛围让人有些昏昏欲睡，最后突出的中心思想是英雄的永不懈怠舍己为人和看不到长路尽头的孤独，3.5星吧。
对不起我期待太多了，都是被人忽悠的 期待多失望大，所以可能给的分低了
虽然真的太长了，但是阴郁痛苦的气质是拍出来了，配乐镜头都可圈可点，男女主也都接住了戏，剧情散了一些，但是能看下去，后面差了一点点，洪水中跳下去很有救世的意味，看这部片子最大的感受其实是，人类如何面对自己所创造的城市与人文，如此糟糕，如此破败，却又如此积重难返，每个人难免感觉破灭。是完全打破重建，是全力复仇，还是尽力拯救，这是个难题。结尾给了点希望，但是难免悲观，这才显示出超级英雄的力量吧，虽万千人吾往矣，且要用自己坚持的方式。
虽然也没有那么好，但比侠影之谜不是强到姥姥家去了？
吐槽一句，哥谭真是多灾多难，明明是城市，却总要发洪水，动不动爆炸，天塌地陷，然后再重建…
成为经典也是情有可原，纯以剧作论有几分好莱坞类型片的风范。孙道临穿军装怎么看怎么别扭，一换上长袍立马就风度翩翩了。
真是垃圾啊，白白让我期待这么久，简直Terrible...这个反派动机猥琐，长相恶心，就连作案手法都如此拙劣。不好意思，这部《新Batman》还真就不值观众买票去看，甚至你让我上Netflix看个片段我都懒得看。虽然1998年的《蝙蝠侠》很经典是吧，2004年的《Batmen Begins》也挺过瘾的。但这部？Come On 就好像没拉到投资人一样，小手笔，花架子，而且还透着一股文青的装逼气质。全篇2个半点废话连篇，剧情拖拉，反角拉胯。毁了人们心目中的一代经典。真是恶心到了五体投地！一共4个国家上映（美国还很有自知之明决定网络上映）看完了整片的背后我就想知道咱们自己国家是不是也跟片子里头似的，拿我们当2逼，掏钱看这种破电影。（就已广电局的审美标准也就国外的烂片能上映给我们看，拿老百姓当傻子）
