The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 一是地理位置，在印度最南的科钦，也是我没去过的邦，未来一定要去一次，剧中风景还是很美的，感觉是水乡。

关键女的还不好看
上部的兄妹登场怎么画风都变了，黑鬼姐妹也没介绍，大奶妹自带吹风机一副凤凰女的拽样，地堡战挺精彩，末日机械风
之前在院线大银幕上看到过的演员（《最初的梦想》里的校霸）竟然演同影来了，还演的是一个双性恋渣男。整部影片如梦似幻的氛围感学习得很足得，色彩上有似阿莫多瓦那般将浓墨重彩运用的悉心细致，但是还是不成体系得略显生涩；情节上与CMBYN不谋而合，同是理想少年青春的悸动执着于不舍。虽然是导演的半自传小说改编，但很诟病关于妹妹那一段得感情线，稍有埋藏但是不至于突然轰轰烈烈的私奔，还有男主过分的恋爱脑，和老师过于扁平的人物。不过这般理想梦幻的爱情故事，主角如此纯粹的观念，是不是恰好说明了当时的真实环境下人的真的情感表达呢，答案应该是肯定的，如此这般也让我感受到了印度这片土地不一样的魅力。印度电影这几年有如此多得同影频繁出现，也是真的蛮好的。
时隔多年居然出了第二部，还是挺好看的，想象力丰富，血浆管够，就是主角方光环太强了，太破坏平衡性了。不知为什么，总觉得男主很像斯巴达克斯第一季那个已故男主。

依然是设定出彩，剧情一般，这部续集晚了7年，如果剧情在讲究点，做成邪典b级片，就更好了
肠子都挂在外面了还能坚持这么久没挂。僵尸哈出甲烷直接替代汽油。意念控制僵尸是什么鬼。
有钱人的烦恼就是婚礼在游艇还是庄园办……好无聊又肤浅的片…
作为喜剧来看，影片是说不上好的，我一次大笑都没有，只有几次微笑。作为剧情片或者爱情片来看，我觉得还行，最起码这个故事我是有点喜欢的

没有看过第一部，也不知道是续集，这电影的设定脑洞真的很大，看得挺爽的。既然晓得有第一部，马上去找来看看！
