剧情介绍

The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will.     “我的出生是一个错误”在这个国家,他们唯一的错误就是出生在这个体系里,他们的出生确实是个错误。 虽然不怎么喜欢这个结局,但2022目前最佳😭(昨晚复盘电影,越想越觉得后半段为了反转而反转,使前半段很多内容显得牵强;但我还是很受震撼,也许是这部电影或多或少有点最近一些新闻的影子

    印度片最让我不满意的地方就是太长了,导致前部分都是提速播放,整体看下来还是挺震撼的,虽然反转已经不算是新鲜的方式,但中段开始的法庭戏比较吸引我,节奏也飞快的,近期值得推荐的一片印度电影。

    口号谁都能喊,难的是如何做。这种题材电影,那个国家电影工作者都能拍,难的是是否解决了现实问题,而不是一而再再而三的拍。重视对方,才会想尽办法控制审查;当达到了蔑视的程度,谁管你,反正也掀不起大风浪,你想怎么拍就怎么拍。我并不希望以后我们国家这种类型的电影遍布,如果真的到了那个时候,说明真的烂了。任何人都以为自己了解真相,然而你看到的却是别人要你看到的。

    正义?活的长才有正义,死了就要靠别人的良心和勇气为死者声张。副督察的自首式反转有点突兀,起源是他儿子的车祸,老实说也很奇怪。除了这点其他立意反转都很好。

    赋予罪犯的人权是否赋予受害者?那罪犯又是否是真正的罪犯还是舆论造就的有罪者?以疯狂的公众情感推动执行的即时正义,使真相更加模糊。掌声到攻击,敬他到恨他,其实又有何差?谁曾真正过问探寻事实呢?虚伪的正义伸张,破灭的真相难还原。失去理智的信徒,是罪恶最大的帮凶。印度电影真勇啊,法庭上的质问和最爱的《辩护人》有的一拼。这是继《杰伊•比姆》之后的另一次震动。

    题材加两星,叙事一般般,想表达的东西很多,由于要加入反转前边铺垫显得过长,很多细节通过音乐一笔带过,整个时长拉的太多,整体来说这个剧本表达的不够简洁。

    因为豆瓣评分去看了这部电影,很感谢语焉不详的剧情介绍,让我在观影中获得了久违的爽感,无法预测的下一步走向,多面的角色设定,都好棒啊。莫说比不过韩国,现在的国产电影也远不及印度,想到前不久贾导的采访,可太讽刺了。

    印度电影人已经意识到,以种姓制度作为内核,可以包装出各种各样有力量的电影,很容易得到全球观众的认可,本片亦是如此。导演在故事讲述的方式上很下功夫,先将案子抛出抓住观众,随着男主角在影片过半时登场,抽丝剥茧,真相一层层被剖开,几次反转合情合理,每个人心中都有一份正义,很热血,很励志。问题在于,故事讲的太满,越是宏大叙事越应该留白,留一些观众思考的空间,太满了反而显得炫技了,破坏了观影感。“一个国家的尊严,就等同于它给女性的尊严”,为这句话加多一颗星。
