剧情介绍

　　Beginning just after the bloody Sioux victory over General Custer at Little Big Horn, Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee intertwines the perspectives of three characters: Charles Eastman (Beach), né Ohiyesa, a young, Dartmouth-educated, Sioux doctor held up as living proof of the alleged success of assimilation; Sitting Bull (Schellenberg), the proud Lakota chief who refuses to submit to U.S. government policies designed to strip his people of their identity, their dignity and their sacred land – the gold-laden Black Hills of the Dakotas; and Senator Henry Dawes (Quinn), who was one of the architects of the government policy on Indian affairs. While Eastman and patrician schoolteacher Elaine Goodale (Paquin) work to improve life for the Indians on the reservation, Senator Dawes lobbies President Grant (Thompson) for more humane treatment, opposing the bellicose stance of General William Tecumseh Sherman (Feore). Hope rises for the Indians in the form of the prophet Wovoka (Studi) and the Ghost Dance – a messianic movement that promises an end of their suffering under the white man. This hope is obliterated after the assassination of Sitting Bull and the massacre of hundreds of Indian men, women and children by the 7th Cavalry at Wounded Knee Creek on Dec. 29, 1890.     期望越大，失望越大，精彩内容全在宣传片里了，冰箱就那一个镜头，我真的服了，故事很短，却要醒整这么长的电影，其他电影总有故事没讲完，没讲清楚的，这个是硬凑这么长的，整个小短片还能看，整成电影就太尴尬了，好像半成品的玩意，要不是这一帮演员，这片子也就一颗星，真心拉低了影院电影的水平，尴尬的我用jiojio抠出来一幅蒙娜丽莎！

    有时候不明白，美国人的庄园没有保全，没有安保系统，甚至喜欢安装大落地镜，对于我来讲，都是缺乏安全感的，可能这就是有钱人的快乐，我想象不到，更难想到女主因为被揭穿，就杀疯了，还真是黄金屋里有颜如玉啊。
